Hi,
Yesteday I installed the latest PHP update in BlueLinQ on my RaQ3-550.
I didn't pay attention to that I have installed third-party PHP 4.3.10 a long
time ago. Now the RaQ WebGUI doesn't work. The only error I get when
trying to access it is that Firefox is unable to connect to it. No PHP-error
line or something.

I tried removing mod_php-4.3.10-6.i386.rpm but that didn't help. I have
read here now that the GUI only works on 4.0.6..

Any ideas what to do?

Try installing the updates by CobaltSupport
http://www.cobaltsupport.com/updates/index.html

Maybe the php update by them will overwrite what was done wrongly.

But really... after so many years you still trust the updates by SUN?
They virtually left the Cobalts to "die".... and the community to fend for themselves...

Well.. This SUN update was from 2005 so that's why I installed it..

How do I install .pkg-files from the console? Just renaming them to
.rpm and install with RPM doesn't work.

A PKG is more than just a rpm file...

Go to the directory where you uploaded the pkg and excute this line
/usr/local/sbin/cobalt_upgrade filename.pkg

I have no cobalt_upgrade-command in 550-OS, In the above path I have:
/usr/local/sbin/cobalt_postbackup
/usr/local/sbin/cobalt_prebackup
/usr/local/sbin/cobalt_restoreowners
/usr/local/sbin/cobalt_restorequotas

and 'locate cobalt_upgrade' or just 'locate cobalt' finds no upgrade script.
Is it called something else on the 550-OS?

Sorry should have been

/usr/sausalito/sbin/pkg_prepare.pl -i -f filename.pkg

Jepp, that's the correct command! :)

And it worked, thanks alot. I installed CS11 and now it runs fine.
That old PHP for the GUI sure is easy to b0rk..

Remember that since yours is not a real 550, you have to make sure you are not using those original Kernel updates as they will never fit into the system and may even break it.

But in any case :) Enjoy your cobalt :)

Jepp, already know that. :)
