Wholesaler/Upstream Legal Protection Kit
from HostLegal seems like a good choice.

What do you think about this? Have any of you purchased from HostLegal? Is a professionally written TOS, AUP etc, worth buying over something made by myself? I'm no legal expert at this time so I'm willing to take suggestions :)

Thanks guys.

I purchased it, for me it was a good start we added to it and changed somethings around to meet our needs but it was well worth the price.

It gives you a good place to start if you have nothing.

I've always allowed anyone to use our ToS for free. Use at your own risk though, if you get sued, don't come crying to me. ;)

I read about you being sued, did that ever get resolved?

Yes, because my ToS specifically covered what they were trying to sue me for (the dumbass forgot to renew his domain name/had no valid email address on file and claimed it was our fault for not calling him on the phone to remind him). They dropped the lawsuit before it ever went to court.

That's a relief you seemed VERY WORRIED.

The lesson I understood is to have a great TOS! :)

We used HostLegal's as a starting point. We added some things that were pertinent to our business. And then we took it to an attorney who specializes in web hosting for a once-over. He was pretty reasonable - about $500 I beleive.
