I have read so much recently about problems going on with ventures online.

I signed up at Easter and intend to open my hosting company reselling their accounts but after all the posts about them I am left unsure whether to or not.

What I basically want to know is - What exactly is going on. Also could someone here tell me if:....

They are stopping the current reselling program
Are they going to stop/change the current reselling program
Are they closing now or in the future
any other major problmes.

I would really appreciate and reply so I can clear this up.

UK, no offense intended at all towards you, but wouldnt this be best "Served" by VO themselves?

Trying to get accurate and timely information about a dynamic company such as VO would almost mandate your question be to them directly.

Here people are just squeeking out tid bits, and possibly incorrect tid bits at that.

Hi,

Yes I fully appreciate that but if my question is sent directly to VO I will surely get a biased answer. The reason I posted here was to get both sides of the story.

All I can see happening is a former employee/owner fighting with a current owner/employee surely these guys are old enough to sort this out privately without arguing in front of 1000's of users.

I am worried that if I start reselling VO will close and thus my business will follow.

uktopHost, We are not arguing I am simply stating facts and pointing out deceptions that are being used to try and make everyone think that everything is all rosy within the company.

Hi

Thanks for that.

So are you saying we could end up losing out here. Any advice would be of help, Or is this all about internal postions and nothing to do with the actual service offered?

Well, I really can't say, I'm pretty much shut out of the company, from what I hear they hired 1 more tech which will help some I suppose, but the way the owners are traveling in my opinion, which is launching new services without stabilizing their current offerings and getting a better footing and organization within the company is just stupid.

You must be stable within before you can really expand to new fields, they don't even have the employee guidelines in place, vacation policies, schedule raises etc, and yet their launching new products and adding more pressure to the techs to support new things? Doesn't make sense to me...

Do you really want to place Daniel in the position of making your mind up about continuing, or discontinuin services with VO?

That is a very touchy place you are going there UK =)

But I understand your concern.

I would personally take anything that Daniel says at this point with a grain of salt. He seems too bitter for anyone to actually get an accurate picture of what is real. I am not saying he is wrong, just saying that his opinion is biased right now.

We use VenTures Online and have had no troubles up to this point, I just received a letter from VO and things seem to be coming together fine right now. We will monitor the situation and have backup plans just in case, but so far, 'I' am impressed with what I have seen lately.

I would go to Ventures Online's forum and ask these questions in the reseller forum. I'm pretty sure you will get many gppd answers.
