I am a newbie to hosting but I learn fast, thanks to the lovely and generous explanations we receive as help from other more knowledgeable and experienced members in this forum.

I have these newbie questions for today. I have searched the forum and cant find answers to these as yet.

How do i define my own individually different plans in WHM? At the moment I only see a predefined 'Standard' Plan in the drop down box.

What do i do if I want to also increase or decrease the number of Email Accounts, FTP Accounts, Mailing Lists, Subdomains & Databases in a clients account a few days after it has been set up in WHM. I cant seem to find a link to allow me to do this in my current WHM.

What is the difference between the functions 'Modify an Account' & 'Upgrade/Downgrade an Account'

I already know that a reseller can speficy the number of subdomains while using the 'Create a New Account' function in WHM. But I also see a 'Disable or Enable Subdomains Per Account' function inside WHM. My question is: Suppose I provide a client with 10 subdomains while creating his new account, do I have to subsequently enable each of these 10 subdomains with the latter function?

1) "How do i define my own individually different plans in WHM? At the moment I only see a predefined 'Standard' Plan in the drop down box."

You can set up your own plans by using the "Add a new package" link under "Packages" (or contact your host)

2) "How do i define my own individually different plans in WHM? At the moment I only see a predefined 'Standard' Plan in the drop down box."

See 1

3) "What do i do if I want to also increase or decrease the number of Email Accounts, FTP Accounts, Mailing Lists, Subdomains & Databases in a clients account a few days after it has been set up in WHM."

Give them a different package. (or contact your host)

4) "What is the difference between the functions 'Modify an Account' & 'Upgrade/Downgrade an Account'"

Modify an Account is used to change the domain, user name, and cPanel theme associated with the account.

Upgrade/Downgrade an Account is used to give the account a different package.

5) ". . . . . do I have to subsequently enable each of these 10 subdomains with the latter function?"

Yes.

Wow thanks !!! Nice brief answers and to the point!

Unfortunately my host does provide me with WHM but I don't see a packages link there, so i have to submit a ticket everytime i need something to get changed after an account is set up. Is this the case with most web hosting companies?

To reclarify the last question better, do i have to enable EACH of those subdomains one by one, or they all get done at the same time?

Hi again SoftWareRevue!

I just checked out your website. Very nice plans. Are all these plans going to be on the same new servers that you are announcing right now?

Also, please put up a COMPARE PLANS page! It would make it easier for your clients.

You only need to enable the sub-domain limit you gave by enabling sub-domains for the account (not each individually).
