Patrick 03-07-2006, 02:26 AM can reg enom accout with visa debit ? If it has a Visa logo on it, there "should" be no problems. samdax 03-07-2006, 05:41 AM as far as I know you must have credit card debit or electron cards are not supported (all over internet) Visa debit card logo should be different from Visa credit card Same with Mastercard=credit card, but Meastro = debit card , but both of them have similar logo Patrick 03-08-2006, 02:15 AM as far as I know you must have credit card debit or electron cards are not supported (all over internet) Visa debit card logo should be different from Visa credit card Same with Mastercard=credit card, but Meastro = debit card , but both of them have similar logo I guess I stand corrected. Perhaps someone can 100% confirm this? I always assumed thst the VISA logo on a debit card would work online as a normal credit card. (Then again, I've never delt with them...) BN-Pat 03-08-2006, 02:47 AM A debit, or as they are more commonly known now, check card works exactly the same as a credit card online. The only requirement is that it have a Visa or Mastercard logo on it. Most debit cards do if they are from a major bank. It's the only thing I have ever used online, never had a single problem with it. stub 03-08-2006, 09:42 PM I guess I stand corrected. Perhaps someone can 100% confirm this? Pat, most of the time the debit card will work the same as the credit card, but not all the time. I'm always a bit leary with using the debit card though because in the case of fraud, your limit is your entire account balance whereas with a credit card you limit is usually the amount of the card. It can be harder to get refund on the debit card compared to credit card, in cases of fraud, too. Our bank offers 100% of the money back, before end of next business day...regardless of the ammount in the account. Debit cards from major banks are as safe as any credit card. stub 03-09-2006, 12:48 PM I doubt it. Just compare the terms about what they'll cover if you have your card stolen. |
