Ok, well I just wanted to question you all.

My next big project will generate alot of hits (i hope) and just wanted to earn some money back to pay off the web hosting and such.

Has anyone or is anyone using Google Adsenses on there website.
If so.. how much income are you generating from it and what are your stats (unique vs. pageviews) ?

I would also be curious to know if any of you use any other advertising services that pay well?

I know this is alot to ask from someone but I am sure others want this kind of information also.

You may want to read Adsense TOS as this is against it...

The amount people earn will highly depend on the site content and the number of views per day. Just putting up any site with no content and a predicted amount of page views will not work :)

It also depents on the size/placepent/visiblity of the ads.

A lot of people have a lot of numbers but, as was mentioned earlier, discussing those numbers is a direct violation of the Google AdSense contract. If a person is happy with his AdSense income, he may hesitate to jeopardize that income by openly posting what you want to know.

Sorry.

Eliz.

Oh, right, ok.

Sorry to have asked that then.

Adsense has been working rather well for me at the moment. It pays for the server bill and more. But you just need a lot of content. Static html pages will give more relevant ads.

What about dynamic pages that are static to a sense?

I'm sorry, but I don't understand. What do you mean by "dynamic pages which are, in a sense, static"? Could you provide an example?

Thank you.

Eliz.

Do you mean like forum archive pages?

They seem static to SEs but the content is close to dynamic.

Adsense is doing really badly for me lately, I was making a lot from it, specifically from my directory site but the earnings have gone down a lot.

Right now I really wouldn't recommend adsense..

Static in a sense..an example even...of a blogging site.

The content is dynamic being stored in a database yet the permalink stays the same.

I thought they changed some of the rules. Per the AdSense TOS (https://www.google.com/adsense/localized-terms) you can However, You may accurately disclose the amount of Google’s gross payments to You pursuant to the Program. . I think they realized this could not be confidential because you have to report it as earned income.

I think adsense is great and it is fun to start with, and it never gets a problem for me.
