I'm looking to have a set of banners designed for a site as I'll be opening an affiliate program for it through Shareasale in the near future. Where do people go for this now, and if you've used a certain site recently, could you possibly show what they made for you?

It's been a few years since last time I had a set of banners made, I had ordered some individual ones from BannersMall.com and a set from 20dollarbanners.com. BannersMall looks like it's still around, although with a bunch of negative threads around. 20dollarbanners.com looks alive too but they're not taking new orders for a while.

The only negatives I've heard about BannersMall is sometimes it takes a week or two to get an order done, instead of just a few days. If this isn't time sensitive, it might be worth talking with Chris and/or Senthu. I've never seen their quality questioned here!

It depends on the objective of the banners.

If the banners are not for very important deal, then try to get something for $20… or find a foreigner in Bangladesh for whom your $5 is $100…

On the other hand, if the banners are to promote a serious business in which, depending on that banners’ success, you can earn or loose hundreds or thousands of dollars, then it is not clever thing to save $50 on a banner, which (if done correctly) can bring you much more…

I'd prefer to go to someone who advertises banner design as a service, and posts prices of some sort on their site, to either posting on a forum that I'm looking for someone or contacting freelancers. I'm just interested in any of these types of places (like BannersMall and 20dollarbanners) anyone had a positive experience with.

Right now I'm considering waiting until 20dollarbanners is accepting new orders as I like the last set they made for me. Surely there must be other options though?
