I recieved an email from Alienware today announcing their addition of laptops to their computer lines.

I havn't seen any other 2+Ghz laptop on the market yet and the price they listed for the laptop above was lower than what I expected Alienware to charge. Congrats to Alienware for now making "the ultimate mobile gaming machine."

I sit dreaming about the day when I can afford one of their computers....I'm tired of these pieces of crap I get. :rolleyes:

I spend hours on their custom configurator making my dream computer. :D

i wish alienware were in miami when i was. no doubt i'd be working there at the moment.

they are like 9 minutes from my old house.

I think you may be correct. The discription below from their website makes it sound like they're somehow using a desktop processor in a laptop case.Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor
Each and every Area-51-M system comes complete with an Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor. Never before has a full fledged desktop processor been available in an Alienware® laptop!
I don't know how it would fit though. :confused: Looks like they did drop their price on the 2.4GHz from $2997 to $2840. :) I wouldn't pay that much for a laptop, but if you customize it with a 1.8GHz, it's a little above $2000 which is tempting.

I figured they'd get the parts from somewhere. :) CRego3D, have you delt with powernotebooks.com before? Are they a good company? I havn't heard anything about them until now

I was lookign to get one but now I am lookign for a webtablet instead
