I currently own S31Net.com and S31Forums.com. S31Net.com is a free web hosting gaming network that currently consists of over 25 websites and with well over one million impressions a month. S31Forums.com are the centralized forums for the network for support.

This is not a sign up and recieve space kinda thing. You apply and if your accepted, you get the space. We're currently running on an AMD machine at RackShack. The server has a 20GB hard drive, 512MB of RAM, and 300GB of bandwidth a month. It costs $105.53 a month for the server.

To make money, we have an advertising contract through AdTegrity and we make ALL hosted sites display our banner and pop-up codes. After talking to AdTegrity, I discovered that if we can get a little more US traffic, we can get rid of the pop-ups, therefore bringing in more hosted sites (mainly because webmasters and visitors HATE pop-ups).

In addition, a friend of mine (who has experience in this business) is running the network. He has agreed to run the network ON HIS OWN as long as he receives 30% of the advertising revenue. This means that you will get the other 70% while he does the work.

I'm 17 years old and just don't have the time to do this anymore. I'm starting college in a month and getting a full-time job. I can't do this anymore. I'm interested in selling the two domain names, and will help with transferring the ad and hosting contracts into your name if you buy. I don't know exactly how much this is worth, so I'm open to any offers.

If you own a hosting company, you could transfer the entire network to your data center and probably carry much more than my one server could.

Two things come to mind..

1 - You're saying that your friend is doing all the work for 30% of the advertising revenue which means that you get 70% for doing nothing. If this is the case, why are you saying that you do not have the time?

2 - You mentioned that the server costs about $105.00 USD per month. You also mentioned that you need to get this site off of your hands to save money? I gather the advertising revenue is less than $105.00 USD per month?

Suggestions..

Maybe you should post how much your monthly income from these sites are. Also it would help if you could provide some kind of statistics where the potential buyers can see how many unique visitors your sites get per month.

1 - Because I ran the network for almost 6 months on my own. The members still contact me bacause I'm the owner and it's hard to just ignore their instant messages. Plus, when one minor thing goes wrong with the server, I get over 20 emails a day concerning it. Even though I don't work on it anymore, it's still "there." The fact that they still contact me and not him is what takes up my time.

2 - I signed the advertising contract about 3 weeks ago. If you ever sign a contract, you'll know that it takes 60-90 days to get your first check. So, I'm not exactly sure how much you will make. Though, I'll be honest, it will be limited due to the small server I have.

In the past, when I was with DoubleClick (before they started "cutting back" on clients), I did get $400-$500 checks every month. Then, then cut me and now, AdTegrity is who I was able to sign with. They tell me that their CPM rate is $1.50-$2.00. This is the same as DoubleClick's so when the checks start coming in, you could expect this much if not a little bit more.

Stats? Ben (the friend who operates the network) is working on an advertising solution that will help us cordinate exactly how many impressions we are getting a day and every month. If desperately needed, I can get into old records and find some old stats from a couple months ago.

So, you just want someone to buy the domains and take over operations?

Basically, yes. I don't want to let all of the webmasters down and get rid of their reliable web hosting.

As far as I know Adtegrity is paying a CPM rate of 0.10 $ to many of their publishers (especially entertaintment sites) and with 1 million impressions I would say you make a max of 175 $ a month from the banner. You might make a few $ a day from the pop up code but it can't be much at the end.

If the sites are of high quality I would recommend that you take contact to other game networks and ask whether they would be interested.

What has happened in the past two weeks? Your site says that you stopped the service and people can move to a paid host (yours probably). Why? There were people interested, so that shouldn't have been the problem. What has happened?
