I cannot decide between oneandone.co.uk and ukname.net for my web hosting. Could people who have had any experiences with either of these companies please reply with your comments. Thanks.

1&1 - used them before, not a bad service for the price :)

1&1 is a publically listed company and the #1 or #2 in virtual hosting over here in germany. Quite big and they host everything on a huge linux cluster I believe (opposed to their main competitor who relies on a few Sun enterprise 10000 monsters)

Speed is impessive and good pricing, never had to ask for support though, which is over 900 numbers mainly and ~ $1.60 per minute or so - at least it was like that when I looked the last time


This is all for germany but I guess they run the same business model & platform in UK
