If some of you on good connections could test the following for me I would much appreciate it. Need to know what speed we are moving at.

Wow.. wherever that is.. it's plenty fast! I have a cable connection that usually tops out at about 280 KB/s down but I was getting sustainted 340+ KB/s downloading that file.. basically trying to push data through to me faster then my capped connection is supposed to allow. I've gotten transfer speeds that fast from a few other places but they're very uncommon.
I got an averge of 137 Kbps... I usually get a lot faster speeds than this.
BTW: Downloaded using a Cable Modem in Canada
not a good idea to put txt file for two reasons:
1. the file just starts downloading on the browser (which ultimately crashes)
2. text files are uncompressed data
put up a zip/tar file :)
ACK! ... I must have caught the connection when it wasnt being used much at all.. only getting 120-135 now!:eek:

I changed it to a .zip
I expected most to be using wget from command line, not a browser window :)
on my DSL 128KB/sec (max out)
from behind the sprintlink: 850KB/sec
from behind cogent 900KB/sec :)

Well... since im no longer on cable... (curses AT&T) I got 13-20 KB/s sustained... but it started at 48Kb/sec...
Fast connection indeed... 2hr 18mins estimated...
