If i`ve never had a dedicated server before which would be easier for me to learn or mess with...WHM or Ensim? Is the admin side of WHM really that much easier than admining ensim? (i`m not talking the user control panel...but the admin control panel stuff side).
 :crap:

Ensim is easy if you don't want to do anything non-standard or out of the ordinary (for example subdomains, crosslinks, multiple sites per account, etc. etc.) If you do want to do something fancy with Ensim, give yourself 1-2 weeks go understand it's ins and outs (creating a python file, restarting, resaving, etc.) to get it just right. It takes some getting used to as far as customizing Ensim, but it's doable.

WHM has more options, and it updates itself automaticly ( including server software ). This is a great feature in WHM.
However, the interface of Ensim is much better and clearer.
CPanel has a great interface, but WHM isn't the best .... ( very long list of options, you have to scroll down a few pages to get something done ).
Why not take a demo of WHM & Ensim ?

Ensim is clean and easy to understand. WHM is icky and designed poorly but both have their bonuses. I just am not a fan of WHM ugly interface. Give me icons and little things to click on! ;-)

But if you think about it... they're both backends, so "looking nice" isn't the most important thing... Its like the storage room in a store... They have concrete floors, because the only people that see it is the employees... Only what the customer sees has to look nice.

Dont forget, WHM is also all text, that makes it nice and FAST to do stuff (nothing like waiting 5 minutes when admining a box remotely for pics to load) and also doo-able with a text only browser (lynx for example) or on low grade machines (consoles in a DC for example)

Ahhh. But sometimes the reseller IS the customer. I agree about the ugly interface for WHM. They were supposed to be working on making it skinnable. Whatever happened to that?

Thanks for responding. Nevermind i think i still want cpanel. If i have cpanel and wanted to offer my resellers WHM....i would have to like disable all the "admin" features and stuff on their WHM version right? So they`d have the exact same WHM but with a bunch of crap disabled?

WHM/CPANEL is far superior in my opinion.

You don't have to manually disable anything. When you create a reseller account, they automatically get access to a reseller version of WHM without access to the admin features.
