View Full Version : OneFusion - Feedback.
Raiak 05-08-2002, 08:06 PM Any one here had any experiance's with OneFusion. They came highly recommended to me for both Service and Customer Service.
I contacted them yesterday, regarding their payment availibility through Worldpay. They offer the Cur $USD $Euro and $Singapour only.
So i contacted them regarding accepting GBP. I thought all was going well, friendly, helpfull etc. I was told that GBP was now availible and just to click signup. ( This was 35 hours ago )
I sent them another e-mail, letting them know GBP was not availible, Nothing.
I sent the e-mail again, 4 hours later. 1 hour after that (5 hours) i got a reply saying 'Looking into it'
I sent another e-mail 16 hours later, Nothing. its now 35 hours later, Nothing.
I know Worldpay very well. And its quite a quick job to add/subtract Currencys to their system. Which is why i contacted them again. But here we are, still nothing.
Wheres this customer service i heard so much about on these forums.
If OneFusion does not wish to except the GBP currency, then Please! Just say, so i can contact another provider. Don't dangle me like a fish.
I personally can't see the floe, the your charged the virtually the same amount to convert currency from GBP as you are from EUR to USD, so your not at a loss. And it would open your market place to more protentual customers - Which is what i was told in an e-mail from them.
Anyone update me, correct me, indulge me etc.
Raiak 05-09-2002, 09:51 AM Just posting this as i've had a view messages saying that this post sounded vius towards OneFunsion.
If the above does sound this way than please except my appologies. I'm just after feedback on their service, and if anyones had any similar experiances, or if you've all been satisfied.
Sorry ck, this message was in no way ment to mock your service. I've not used it yet, so im no way right to mock it.
Im just after feedback in a market research kind of way.
Techark 05-09-2002, 10:12 AM I have dealt with them and Caleb and Edmund are both great people to work with. You couldn't find a better group to work with. They bend over backwards to keep the customer happy.
I can give them a 5 star rating.

Choppy 05-09-2002, 08:45 PM I really dont mean to comment... i cant help my self but...
Please take note *** I am a Competitor***
I was pointed to there site by a customer that has just signed up with us... saying why cant you offer me these prices... from www.onefusion.com
And honestly i did not know what to say, besides ask them were they get them huge hard drives so cheap and all that bandwidth on tap and come tell me so we can do it too!
I paddled my way into there site for a look around and noticed there reseller plans:
Seriously now this is nothing against the people at onefusion and this is a question for anyone to answer!
10 gigs Storage
50 gigs Bandwidth
= $30
Hang on now.. let me do some maths.. please follow me here and correct me if im wrong!
Whats the average price of a dedicated server say 256 ram, 40 gig hdd and 200 gigs bandwidth ( From a good DC)
Just to play with numbers lets just say $240 with cpanel!
Now lets say with a little bit of over-selling :D
They get five customers on this box
5 (Customers) *30 = $150
Does this mean seriously they are losing around $100 a month to provide an affordable service?
I dont want to say ** This is to good to be true** or ** They are over-selling heaps** i could be wrong in anything and everything that i have said!
Please your input would be appreciated.. from the people of onefusion or any other private label /bulk reseller!
Kind regards
Hi Choppy,
Sorry for the delayed reply, I was out of town the past 2 days and only got back... (then my buddy DanielP's thread almost crashed the server lol :) )
Anyways, your math does make sense but our monthly recurrent costs for upkeeping of each reseller server is significantly lower than the $240 you mentioned. However, the initial investment on one server is much more. We are instead paying a lot for the initial setup of each server in order to get a lower recurring monthly cost.
I'd just like to take this opportunity to mention that we are in no way overselling because ample storage and bandwidth have been allocated.
Cheers
Choppy 05-12-2002, 09:12 AM I see,
That sounds fare enough but many of my clients have said to me that your price look to good to be true...
It seems that "DOnt trust Cheap Hosting" is coming out of the ranks these days! Peopl are getting more and more informed about bad practices etc etc.
And isnt it too risky to make a big investment? Before we do anything we study the market, the market trends how the season was same time last year etc.
For you, your companies and customers sake i hope you took the time to study these because the last thing you want is big investments with no returns!~
Also were you get your servers from? On what bandwidth just still seems real cheap mate to me, i would even consider it for our company if its a true deal.
Kind regards
Raiak 05-12-2002, 11:19 PM If you want to pay more for the service i dont think ck will complain. After all, he's offering a very good service, and a competative rate ( so competative, i personally can not see anyone compeating )
Choppy 05-13-2002, 12:11 AM I understand what you mean...
BUT consider this ( Once again i do not know how much they really pay for there servers etc)
you use up all the BANDWIDTH and HARD drive Space they give you! and so do the other 5 resellers... you think that server is going to be affordable to them?
NO WAY... Maybe another reseller host can correct me here...
Anyway i dont care really because i still got many customers that looked at there site and did not believe it was possible.
Im Happy :D
And i just hope they look after you.. thats all im trying to say here!
Raiak 05-13-2002, 12:52 PM I personally do not know how much Linux or Raq servers cost to purchase. All i do know is a lot of services are offering them at low prices, some examples are
Intrascape.com - 35GBP per month - about 70USD
uk2.net - 11.99GBP per month - about 18USD
Their are also loads more, which leads me to the conclusion to purchase the actual hardware is not very expensive.
Although, through doing the maths, you can see how much they have to be minimum. On OneFustions website, they state they are making next to no profit, so
Each server holds 5 accounts. The maximum account is $60
so 60 x 5 = 300 USD.
say making 50 USD profit, means that the search could cost 250USD - Which is about what i see them going for.
Makes sence to me - The only part that dont, is the H/d, 20Gb x 5 = 100Gb. Thats got to be expensive. and the bandwidth 100Gb x 5 = 500Gb
Choppy 05-13-2002, 07:10 PM Well thats what stumbles me too!
Hardware and bandwidth... :D
fuming 09-06-2002, 02:27 PM ck, your support is crap and you talk a load of tosh.
if you're in the uk you would be done by trading standards.
just shut you're servers down gime my damn money and please leave us alone.
Who are you? Pls email in to us if it is a matter regarding our service, especially a matter of refund.
Atlonim 09-06-2002, 09:47 PM Nice racks you got there ck, they look more like lockers to me :D
Got the picture of those racks from the hurricane electric site (http://www.he.net) as we colo with them directly and through another partner.
