I recently switched the DNS information for my domain name at NameCheap... and it has been a day now... and it still isn't working. Plus, I contacted tech. support yesterday, and still no response...

Is something wrong? Or... could it possibly be taking more than a day to recognize the DNS changes? Usually when I do it, it doesn't take any longer than a few hours or so O_o

DNS changes need to propagate globally, which takes 24-72 hours.

Yeah, I know, but it just usually seems to go faster for me >_<

the propagation of your domain dns depends on your internet supplier. What depends on your registrar is how long it takes for the whois to be set to your name.
Most internet providers ubate their dns tables every 2 or 3 days so if you are lucky it could be done in 24 hours and unlucky in 48 hours and very unlucky 72 hours !
