Very interested in this business but do not have the technical knowledge or the infrastructure needed to start, a top class service.
I am sure that Voxtreme, SplashHosts, MCHosts, and most of the ones that come on most threads, and that I have studied have a very good business idea. I have even joined one of them as a test.
My point is that if I go forward as a reseller, I would like to give assurance to my clients of the 99. whatever% uptime, and taking my 7 hours sleep being sure that what I have offered will be accomplished.
In other words, to start a company that will stay, and not just a business, making some bucks. It is very a different idea.
I lack resources and knowledge to do it, so why not ask the following:
Why not you guys asking for a beginner reseller account of $30 or $40 a month, do not have some sort of a VIP Virtual server charging more (for the same Mb Space and Transfer), but keeping just the ones that, like me, would like to have that extra service, and uptime.
I believe a Web Server should be at least 50 days without a reboot. After studying 30 or 40 reselling plans, there are some, but who knows where your clients will end at.
So if anyone can offer something like this, please write to me and give me a quote at correo@aguilar.ws . Also I will need to have access to the HTML to customize the clients CP with my image and maybe an extra language (Spanish).
Cheers.

Probably MS will catch up some time, but I prefer Unix for reliability.
I don't get what you're asking for???

A Bulk Reseller that can guarantee uptime, no excuse.
If it is a small company that has 3 servers, go put me and my clients on a special spoiled server that will have an uptime of 50 days + without the need to boot the system. I will pay for that extra service.
The point is that the business idea of bulk reselling is good, but it should have different levels.
I will never host a MP3 download site, or so. Why should my clients be affected by that?

Sounds like you need you own box from somewhere like Dialtone or Rackspace. You won't get the reliability you crave in a shared reseller environment with 30 to 50 other resellers setting up god knows how many sites doing whatever.
You could also look into some VDS from RemarkableHosting.com or Diginode.com. There you get the protection of like having your own server but without the large $$$$$$ each month.
Hope this helps. :)

You should list your requirements in the WebHosting Requests Forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=32).
As hosts cannot respond to you here.
Actually, if you ask the mods, they'll just move this one for you.
Unless, of course, you're just looking for suggestions.
But asking people to email you, looks more like a request. :)

 So does that mean that my previous post here was breaking the rules somehow??

You suggested someone elses' services; not your own.
Hmm . . . kinda strange; now that I think about it.
I could suggest someone. They could suggest me. But I can't suggest me. And they can't suggest them.
Not that I'm suggesting me (because I don't think I can offer what the original poster is requesting). Nor am I suggesting anyone else (because I'm not exactly clear on what the original poster is requesting).
I 'am' about to take a long nap though.
I think I just hurt my brain. :eek2:

high priced tho..
aitcom.net they offer vds but charge for each domain you host $3.95 a month plus $59.95 a month. That is the starter plan and goes up after that all the way to dedicated servers.
They fit well if say your business plan is to offer web design and managed web sites and need a place to host your customers accounts if you have a small number of dedicated customers. I was with them for 4 years running that business model and did well. I think during the 4 years I was there I maybe had 5 hours total down time. It was something I never feared. But as a regular host trying to sell hosting you will never make it at the prices you have to charge for the space bandwidth you are allowed. Mine worked because I was not after selling hosting to anyone I only hosted my special accounts I built sites for and did special programming for. I made my money off the design and programming end and sold the hosting for very little profit.
But as far as up time 24/7 response etc you could not ask for more.

Sorry if I was jumping any forum rules by asking to email me.
Thanks Monte for your suggestion. I see that it is expensive, specially having to pay monthly for each domain.
I cannot get into a private server since, as I said before, I do not consider myself with enough knowledge yet to manage it.
