Hello there,
Im starting again after several problems, and now is time to set the advertisement mode..
I think that the banners wount bring me clients, because "i'm not big fish" in the industry (i'm not even a small) and it only would be a "nice image"...
other fact is that, if I think as a potential customer, is impossible that they'll buy my packages only for the banner (in the other hand they can know my site and have it as a "it can be")
so, do the banners work on the initial steps?
what is the best way to promote your site..
the local market here is too small, but it can grew with a nice campaign...altought is too hard and expensive...
so, what's your opinion?
pd: sorry for my bad english :(

Banners are a waste of time. Don't even bother.

Banners are "ok" for branding, but if you're looking for that good CTR and conversion rate, get used to fractions of a % as far as performance. Banner ads will always be a negative ROI, but you can't measure the branding they've given you, as there's no metrics for that. :erm:

I agree. The thing is...with branding, you have to be able to throw TONS of money into it. Running a couple of banner ads just isn't going to do that.

Agreed, banners are a waste of time as far as making a sale, however as stated in the posts above, they do hold their place as far as branding.

It depends upon the sites you are advertising on. I think a banner should be designed specifically for the site it is placed on and it should match your customer’s demographics, if you place a banner on WHT , I dont think it is going waste.

WHT is only a good place to advertise (IMHO) if you're offering servers, reseller hosting, and/or services to the hosting industry (like you). Putting a banner on here for shared hosting would be a waste, since such a high percentage of visitors are hosts. I have to admit, I did have good luck with another one of the iNet sites - HotScripts. I had a button ad on there for a while that worked well.

but you can only advertise on wht if u have quite big advertising plan , wht works on CPM and per thousand impressions rate are between 25 - 35 dollars i think (you may see the media kit of wht for the details) and you know thousand impresions of banner for WHT is matter of hours ..........
If you have a niche that you're targeting then banner ads in conjunction with other methods can work well.
