Hey,

I was checking my email today. I got this email from a website, VOIP website. I checked it out, I was like hmmm.. might as well try it. I phoned my friend without spending credits, and it worked! So now I suggest that you guys go to www.internetcalls.com and downlod it. You won't regret it. Don't be fooled by the part where it says Buy Credits, you can do that but it still works without buying credits. So what are we waiting for? Get it!

Wait this uses your internet connection to call landlines? And you talk with a microphone?

Just tried it, works great!

I pay Iconnecthere.com around $20 each month for VOIP, and I could not be happier. Vonage certainly is the leader right now, but there are so many discounted VOIP companies that offer the same services for less. Congrats on finding the service for free.

Any other free services? (like this one)

I do wonder how long these kind of companies offering free services will stay up and running - saw something the other day saying Vonage is looking for anothe £180 million funding after making a similar loss last year...

https://www.stanaphone.com/

It used to be 100% free, but now it costs a little I think. I will probably be going with something like this.

As long as the free dial up isp's lasted. Long enough to suck up all the dead beat customers who later come back and btich they their windows networking isn't working properly after installing the free isp software.

Internetcalls.com , Vopipbuster.com , Voipstunt.com , etc. are owned and operated by the same VoIP company. (I just noticed that the company is not Finarea (CH-based) anymore. Now they are owned by German Betamax).

I've been using Voipbuster.com for about 6+ months and have been satisfied with their services.

intresting, but anybody know, how is it work for free ? even if u physicaly interconect with main telco operator in belgium u have to pay fee per minut (as everywhere i think), how does this work for free, or its just marketing play now, and its not gonna stay free for a long time, looks like they gathering consumers for now or i am wrong?

Free will not last forever and "Free VoIP calls" is just for temporary promotion.

However, even payed, calls make through, for example Voipbuster are inexpensive.

It's true, you can all people in other parts of the world for £0.01/per minute at sipgate.co.uk.

I use zingotel, for $15 a month I have unlimited calls to anywhere in the US and canada and a toll free #. Plus it works with a regular phone.

Caller ID
3 way calling
voice mail
call waiting
toll free #
All for $15 a month, Ive been using them for about 6 months now.

Just remember this, They get orders like crazy and they take about a month to setup your toll free number. But for the price and service its worth the wait.

Just out of curiosity, what is the vocal quality on both ends like when using these voip services? I've considered switching to SunRocket.com for both the business and residential side of things, and some of those other services mentioned here sound interesting also as long as I could use a standard phone with the service and not needing any special software necessarily. However, I always had some hesitations on the potential quality so I never looked into it too fully. Usually responses seem to be along the lines of "good for the price," but never really sure what that potentially means ^^;

Indeed, for a business VOIP Connection, I would highly recommend another provider, and a connection to a IP-PBX so you can serve voicemail, etc.

Not make money?? I'm in the midst of setting up a free VoIP service myself (I'm not going to get into details as that would be self advertising). Just because you see the word free on the outside and get the services for free doesn't mean the provider isn't making money. Telco fees, etc. can generate you a renevue. It just takes lots of work.

I am using it. It only requires credits if you try to call a number thats not free.

We use Skype and love it. PC to PC calls are free and PC to phone (or visa-versa) are pretty cheap. Sound quality is excellent! http://www.skype.com/

I hate skype. Sorry but I think its a complete rip off. I do use it but only untill my credit runs out. I use and like sipgate and vonage. I find vonage has the best quality.

I'll add to what I said, we use Skype, but only for pc to pc (free) calls. I've never tried any of their paid services but I've heard they've had problems with billing so I guess I'll agree with MKHosting. I've heard excellent things about Vonage.

Vonage is good, but does not virtually integrate with any IP-PBX, as they will not share their sip details; the one downside to Vonage.

yeah, I have to agree with that. I woul love to use it with a PBX

You can! You just have to buy FXO/FXS cards to do it.
