I think this is the place to get some questions answered, opinions and advice offered. It is my intention to start two LLC’s. One, a Nevada LLC and the other a local LLC, here at my home state. It will be the object of the Nevada LLC to create the funds necessary to loan money to the local LLC to build and run a training center for various fields in entertainment. I know….., that’s a lot of money. May take a while, but it looks doooable at this time.
I have a number of things that I will place in the Nevada LLC as assets. Number one, are a series of five nonfiction books. Number two, is a movie of the number one book. The movie has been opted by a movie producer and as soon as he has the published book in hand we can start negotiations for the sale of the movie. Number three, is a proposed TV series, based on the book and movie, which should not be a problem to sell, according to my literary agency.
Because of the very strong possibilities here I have had to resort to a contracted ghostwriter to handle the books, the movie will be written by in house productions writers and the TV series production company will do their own writing. As a result neither the Nevada LLC nor I will participate in this work. At the very most I might be asked to be a consultant. All, literary agents and writers will be contracted by the Nevada LLC and I will be its only member. At the time when the necessary funds are available I will initiate the local LLC to handle the construction and running of the training center.
Although contracting work out if frown on by states, I have no choice in this matter if I want the representation and the knowledgeable people I am involved with at this time. It’s the only way they work, contracts and since they all come from different states a Nevada LLC for my needs is appropriate and beneficial. I think!
As questions arise I can go into more detail but I really feel that I need some help and advice. I know, see an accountant and attorney. I plan to but I really don’t know what I’m doing. I truly don’t understand all I know about this. I would like to understand where I am before I speak to either an attorney of accountant. I would sincerely appreciate and help. I feel much better since I found this site. Thank you.
