in fantastico im getting errors with the directories when im trying to install into a deeper directories.

for example:

public_html/funzone/smf

and

public_html/funzone/joomla

well when im installing smf for example i put 'funzone/smf' into the directory box. it doesnt work. ive tried creating and not creating the funzone part, adn even tried setting permissions to 777 for that directory.

nothing. gives me errors saying 'No valid directory name provided'.

it only works when i just enter a basic name like 'smf' and let it install into the public_html direcotry. it creates it and isntalls it there fine.

tell me fantastico isnt smart enough to figure this out?

thanks

Hi.

Yes, Fantastico doesn't work with subfolders.

You can try to install script(s) into public_html, then move the script folder into the desired subfolder and change the paths in script configuration file/DB but even if that will work you will be unable to update the script using Fantastico.
