Hey all,

I recently purchased a domain name that a gaming company has the copyright for (or trademark?)... say for example that it's called SUPERMANWORLD.com and superman is owned by DC, and supermanworld is a museum dedicated to superman in England...

If I want to make a website out of this, will I be able to? Will I get into any hotwater?

Here's that company's note on trademarks:: I replaced the company's name with [our]

"Trademarks

Please don't use one of our trade marks to directly identify your
website, e.g. "The Space Hulk Home Page". This right is reserved for [our] companies and formal licensees only.

This doesn't mean that you can't use our trade marks to talk about our stuff it just means you need to make it clear that that's why your using them e.g. "Cleanse and Burn - my web page dedicated to [our] Space Hulk game" is fine because you're using our trade marks to simply describe what your web page is about and because it identifies us as the publishers of the game.""

Thanks for the help!

The domain name will clearly be in violation and, if they are aggressive, you will be in hotwater. Just not allowed.
