I have a questions for those using Paysystems/Revecom.

Has anyone ever had the following problem:

According to paysystems a card keeps being declined
however
the first charge appears on the customers card? And while they are 'retrying' the card the limit is more than sufficient, however it keeps being declined. Revecom/paysystems is unable to tell that the money was charged (it's not in their system)

Has anyone ever experienced this and what did you do?

So what did you do?

I faxed them the statement for the 3rd and last time and I hope to get an answer by the end of the week. Otherwise I'll just pay the 3rd party directly and deal with VISA to get refunded.

I found this thread http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=47947, very informative as well....

I don't understand why revecom/paysystems is being so difficult, it's not like I'm disputing the charge, I just want them to acknowledge it and pay the 3rd party!?

Oddly enough my McHost payment on the same credit card went through without ANY problem. This was the 1st occurence of a re-occuring bill, not for McHost.

Have you dealt with their "customer" service?

Are these clients using Canadian credit cards by any chance? At least I am... initially revecom/paysystems blamed that (when I got the 1st e-mail).

Thanks venomx, 'cos the canadian card thing was their initial "excuse".... obviously that's not true....

I am a bit fed up, but they promised a mail/call tomorrow, so I'll post the results here....

If this happens more than once, how much money is "lost" this way? I wonder...

dhabets, you don't know how many times the exact same thing has happened to my clients! This is getting old fast.

I for one am sick and tired of Paysystems/Revecom. I don't trust their system one bit. It's one thing after another. I'm getting my own merchant account NOW and moving away. For those of you who choose to stick with them all I can say is good luck.

How can revecom/paysystems afford to stay in business like this? I mean after a few complaints with VISA/MC and the likes wouldn't they get their merchant account revoked?!
