I know this question has been asked before, as in business cards in general, but I am looking for something specific. Not sure how to discribe but, the paper it is printed on needs to be a parchment type (thick/course). Anyone know of a good place that has that type of business cards? Thanks for the help.

VistaPrint (http://www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/default.asp)

Thanks Jessica, but it was a more corporate? look, not sure if that is what it would be called. I guess what I am looking for is one with a plain biege or gray background color (solid) and a parchment type surface (rough, not smooth or coated). lol, I may be on a never ending quest. :stickout

VistaPrint has the type of business card you are looking for. I ordered some just last month. You'll want to look at their premium business cards. When you go through the steps to customize your card you'll be able to pick a 'Paper Effect'. I used a light grey Ilkat.

The best bet would be to contact your local copy/print shop. They'll have tons of different types of paper and printing options...

Most places, even online, should have many choices of paper stock -- but if you have something specific in mind and don't know what the different types are called it'd help to have someone show you the different choices. You mentioned parchment, but that's normally pretty light for business cards... you might be able to find a linen, or cockle, or light cockle, or laid, etc. that you like.

By the way, personally I get too much spam pointing me to vistaprint; I'd never use them.

I like the prices that VistaScan offers, however there navigation is tacky and confusing. I attempted to upload an image for about 1 hour, and i was led to dead ends.

Im wondering this as well, any affordable business card places other than vistascan?

When I said parchment I really didn't know the correct word to use. :) What Noldar was talking about is what I was looking for I think. Thanks all for your help. :D

If you'd like I can email you an image of what the card looks like that I had made.

You are best off talking to your local printer, they will be able to do you a pretty good deal, will be able to show you samples of previous work done etc. and you'll get a much better service.

I get mine from Nebs (http://www.nebs.com) -- great prices, and great quality. I have no complaints.

The print shops around here are expensive. They jack up the prices do to the area in which I live -- Sarasota, FL -- richest county in Florida. But not everyone is rich here... ;)

Unforunately where I live (unless I drive 60 or so miles) there is little choices when it comes to localy. The only one there is, I have had previous dealings with and they are really expensive and not the friendliest people to deal with. :bawling:

I can also highly recommend VistaPrint. We've used them several times and have been quite pleased each time.

Two thumbs up!

Go to your local alpha graphics they do outstanding work. Getting your cards done through vista print isn't as professional, and it shows. I'm 99% sure they do digital printing and not offset. Offset is when they make a plate for each color, ink, then roll on to the sheet, whereas you can take an inkjet printer and do your cards that way like vista print.

I'd also suggest Strathmore stock it's very nice.

Thanks Brian... as above, all there is nothing close but a local one. And as for Alpha Graphics, there isn't even one in Ky. :stickout

Is NEBS printed the same way as Vista Print? I know that they do offer Strathmore stock.
