Hear this one person's nightmare about Burlee: http://www.iboost.com/manage/webhosting/1066.htm

As for me, they refused to credit my account becasue "they didn't receive my cancellation email."

Customer service is shoddy at best, and you never speak to the same person twice. When you ask for the supervisor, whoever you are talking to is the supervisor (I guess the place is filled to the gills with supervisor positions).

I am disputing the charges with my credit card company, as well as contacting the Better Business Bureau in Vermont, where they are located.

Despite the slick website, don't trust Burlee. If you try to cancel they'll keep your money.

I just got a new hosting provider and must say I was too skepitical about Burlee. They said "Unlimited Bandwidth" while their TOS stated no video, software, etc, ect, ect.... Hosting with them would be like working outside the law LOL!

My site is with ***** where I get 20 GB which is more than enough. I typically use about 11 GB. Keep in mind that you only want to sign up for ***** if you're an experience web master. They are sort of like the Rackshack of shared hosting. You will only do well with them if you know what you are doing. My cable modem typically maxes out when running download tests.

To be reasonable, I've heard mostly good things about Burlee. Maybe this one of those one off things - they're a fairly large web hosting company.

However, I hope it works out :)

Ugh, sorry to hear about that nightmare. I never pay webhosting charges using yearly payments or something similiar, just to be cautious. Hopefully you can get the money you lost, and maybe do some damage to Burlee.com with the BBB of Vermont.

I've sent an email to Burlee.com regarding their so-called "unlimited disk space and data transfer." We'll see what they say.

Thanks for all the replies. What they did just left me sour. And I agree, the hosting was fine...I never really had a problem with them at all; until I wanted (tried) to cancel.

Funny thing is, some other folks must've had their share of problems with them, I found out they have an unsatisfactory rating with the local Better Business Bureau. I'll let you guys know how it pans out....
