Just curious you seem to not like unlimited, now don't get me wrong cause I think it is a rip off and lie giving honest host a bad name.

So why would you accept advertising dollars and place an ad on your fornt page lending creditablity to a host that offers unlimited everything for $15.00 a year but yet attack unlimited with this guy and in your sig?

From your front page.
"$15 a year web hosting through 2002! only from HostNed - Providing reliable, affordable, and unlimited web space for personal websites ...more

Yes, I run it with the help of everyone else on the staff page ;).

You got that as press releases off of our frontpage, provided by web host magazine. It is updated every day, and allows all companies having to do with the web hosting industry to have press releases, unlimited or not. Too bad Hostned doesn't have a phone number though, seems like good infotainment :bawling:

No advertising dollars :)

Rewdog,
I don't know the account off hand, future whatever, but I got to say this. I don't let anybody host unlimited infact back in April I sent a notice about anybody offering unlimited bandwidth or diskspace without the overage rates. I use h-sphere so you can allocate the resource, the cost of the overage, and then lable it as max resources as the allocation to that resource, but you know what the max is always before you cross the line into overages, please see my reseller plans as an example of what I mean.

as for whom what and where.

I'm adehost.com
servers are on the west cost
I'm in NJ
I offer e-mail support. I an be found mostly on AIM or ICQ from 11am to about 2 am
genuity is my main pipe that I get from the data center, when everything is running great I also have Verio and NTT becaus ethere is no problems with the datacenter.
the servers I buy preconfigured. and they cost alot of money ( ask anybody that buys Cold Fusion and MSSQL )
I prefer windows over unix as my platform for hosting
I don't even attempt to solicite unix accounts because I know that there are plenty of people out there that are better in that field and can offer more for the buck.
I don't price myself cheap.

And if you want to interview me I will be happy to go on the air with you.
Mike

lol hes also going to be very upset when he looses that .org in the very near future as he has no rights to have a .org and they are starting to crack down on them.

the kids a reseller for someone like donhosts or fasthosts, not had the time to bother checking which. not worth the effort.

But then again you might not, because you're super-human. Obviously he has clients and is in business. If he has 1 site hosted I consider him a host.

whoa you lot are very shirty today. whats the matter?
i was only mentioning he has an org and theres been fuss over the past year about people loosing them. i dont think 14 yr olds with a reseller plan count as an organisation. internic were making loud noises about withdrawing the domains unless you had a right to have them. lay off and find something worthwhile to bleat about.

OMG, what a load of crap:

This is what one of their "owners" put up in the announcements section of their forum...

OK, I'm sure many of you have seen the post about futurehosts.org on webhostingtalk.com first I would like to clerify on this post that "Eddiemonster" is in NO WAY affiliated with us at all. He does buisness with us in reselling but does NOT work for futurehosts. Second off There are rumours now that I just resell from another place and don't really offer unlimited but say I do to attract customers. That is in no way true. We bought Dedicated Servers from BBNet as it says in "About Us" and many other dedicated servers back us up if we go down. There are many ways to resell as we have done then you are allowed to choose priceing you would like to sell to customers. We are hosted by Adehost and the reason being for that is to seperate us from our customers in case of any kind of attack, in other words if the page "futurehosts.org" is down the customer sites are still up. 3rd off, I don't enjoy being flamed about my age as I am not afraid to admit My real age. I am 19 years old and have a buisness partner that is 18 and we split the money from any money we make from customers, Age does not matter in a buisness as it depends on maturity and how you do buisness. I am sorry to any futurehosts customers that may have seen the message and I hope this clears some information up about our services. We hope that this will not effect your future buisnesses with us and we care very much about our customers. Hopefully we will still be a popular host as always.

*cough* BS *cough*

Greetings,
Not sure if you all know who this is but I am one of the owners of Futurehosts. I'm not very happy to see this post towards my company. I thought I'd clear up some things as Eddiemonster isn't affiliated with me, he is only a customer and resells from us. Second off I have heard the talk of unlimited space not being true, We do not resell, we bought dedicated servers from a company for about 600 dollars a month. Both my partner and I pay our expenses from customers for the cost of this and we are allowed to set any ammount of space we wish to sell and are giveing a drive, we are allowed to purchase more additional space if needed so if the user gets close to useing up there space we order more space for the user. As for the unlimited bandwidth I'm not sure how that is offered but it was included with the plan who we bought it from but our linux plan offers 3 gig Bandwidth transfer. Third I don't appreciate people judgeing a buisness on my age. Just because a buisness offers something else a normal buisness does not doesn't mean I am not an adult. I am 19 and started the buisness to make a liveing until I get through college. I don't think anyone here has a right to bash a buisness unless you've actually "been" a customer with them. How would you not know weather our servers are reliable or fast? As for fasthosts no I do not resell from them, They MAY have purchased there servers from the same company as us but I have never even heard of them until now.

first of all, i think they're confused as to what bandwidth is. they say they offer 800gb of bandwith and when that space is used up, they will add another harddrive. i'm confused how that would help.

ok.

then, they no longer offer refunds? only on "rare" occassions?

ok.

and now they might be changing their name. uh huh.

where's the page of webhosting scams?

Sorry, this is just too much fun.

Please wait for a site operator to respond.
You are now chatting with 'Support'
you: Hey
you: "And our unlimited bandwidth deal is not a "lie". We offer about 800 gigs and if the user uses up the space we put in another hard drive and keep on doing that. "
you: whats a bandwidth harddrive?!!?
Support: Hello, How may I help you
you: hehe
Support: We are talking about the Disk Space
you: No.. it says bandwidth...?!
Support: Please use the "Support" room only if you need help. Thank You.
Chat session has been terminated by the site operator.

AIM Crashed before I could save the latest chat with Eddie.. Basically, Eddie is a reseller, and he said futurehosts are lieing, blah blah... Then eddie proceeded to ask me to HIRE him! I asked where he lived and what his name was so I could make out the check, but he wouldn't give it to me....

Eddie is not the owner of futurehosts...

Let's not harass the person. Send them an email, put them on a site, whatever, but don't bother them, even if you feel they deserve it.

Just before this gets locked id like to clear up something. The owner of Futurehosts is infact myself (along with two partners). 'Pillman' owns the domain and is running a hosting company off it.
Futurehosts in in fact in the process of forming as a company in the United Kingdom and has been trading as a normal partnership for approaching a year. we chose not to advertise on here to attain greater control over the influx of orders and maintain a quality service. we are not trying to hide anything by not advertising but we felt it best to deal with the customers we were getting from other sources. I wont go into the details of our organisation just yet but we started with reseller accounts last year (sept \ aug time from splashhosts and various sources) and then took the step of using our own servers when we realised that this was the best option for us.
We are aware of this other 'company' and are considering our options. I dont wish to comment further on the issue as im sure you understand. If anyone has any comments then please address them to me via pm or email.
Thanks for your time.

So there's two companies called futurehosts? I'm kinda confused because it took you until the end of page 3 to say you were a co-owner, you didn't defend yourself much sooner.

There is a company called futurehosts of which i am a co owner.

our company has no connection to this other website. none whatsoever at all by any concievable means or manner.

the matter is being dealt with.

i clearly stated above our reasons for keeping quiet up until this point but to reiterate, were slowly building up our business and didnt want to openly advertise on WHT until a few things had happened that would protect our level of service to our customers e.g. one senior partner going full time and training of staff etc.

please address any further comments via pm or email. this wasnt intended as a topic for discussion merely as a public notice.

i cant think of any other way of expressing the facts within current legal constaints.
