I have a unique request (I think at least) in the sense that I need to find a BB/Forum type environment that has all the general things like moderation, blah blah blah. However, I need to be able to implement some sort of rating environment as well where users can rate other users posts. Along with that I would like to be able to display the top 5 posts, worst 5 posts, or something along those lines.

Any ideas/suggestions?

vBulletin, lol. just get a mod to display worst and best posts on the top, or make it yourself, not hard.

Yea, I got that much so far. I was looking for something with a rating system already built in. I would build the whole bulletin board/forum too if I had the time and motivation.

vBulletin has a ratings system inbuilt, lol. like i say just a mod to display 5 worst and best at the top, vbulletin.org are bound to have one.

Thanks for the help, I ended up using FUDforum (found it on freshmeat) which is a very nice package. It has fully customizable themes, many settings, and the type of rating system I was looking for.

You can also look at the SMF (simplemachines) system. It's Very nice.
