Okay, so local advertising is the way to go. Here are all the suggestions I have rcvd:
1. Door to door (businesses of course)
2. Mailing a post card
3. Mail a letter
4. Mail multiple letters, like a month long campaign to a select number of businesses.
My question - which one of these two would you do. Or neither, let me know.
1. Simply mail a full brochure - either a 3-4 page bound brochure
2. Mail a pre-printed folder with a couple sheets inside and a business card.
3. Or, mail a postcard or letter and wait for a response. Then those that respond - send them a brochure and follow up with a call.
TIA :lovewht:

I would try having yard signs printed. put them around high traffic areas and large building entrances. I do like the folder idea though.

I have a buddy that owns a deli at Baylor here locally and I have business cards on his counter that seem to turn into a few sales.

I like the idea of a folder, it is really individualized in the clients eyes. I would run off what I am putting in the folders off a xerox and just make 10 folders or more adn send the to businesses that might be interested....

I recently attempted local newspaper advertising, but much to my supprise the Pittsburgh Post Gazzette has a policy against selling advertising to web hosting companies.
I found this to be very strange. Has anyone else ran into anything like this?

Intresting. I looked into advertising in our local paper, but to my surprise, it was really pricy (in my opinion, for others, it may be just spare change ;)) for the amount of people it would be sent too.

You can also advertise your business on radio/ yellow pages/local newspaper. A local networking with chamber of commerce might be also helpful to you.

We do advertise in local newspaper..and it is actually quite costly to advertise in newspaper. Plus, It's quite tough to figure out how good the feedback is. So, we don't do it so often.

Though Print advertising prices are based on the circulation, you should implement CPM method that can give you an idea about your ROI and it will make your ad campaign cost effective too. You should also review the other options available.
