Okay...like if i get a dedicated server but don`t plan on offerring SSL to my customers at all and i myself don`t need to use SSL on the server for my main website...

Then i don`t have to spend that extra hundred bucks at Thawte or where ever since i basically won`t need an SSL cert for the server, right? So having an SSL cert installed on the server wouldn`t be neccessry at all then, right?

I know SSL is basic...but i still don`t want to offer it to these specific customers on that server.

Cool...so i don`t need to spend any extra money to buy an SSL cert at all for that server.

Sure, you do not need it at all :) By the way - if you want to test SSL you can always sign the cert yourself (using SSL tools that come with openssl etc) :)
