I've recently got a vps with whm installed how do I go about pointing my domains to the vps from scratch, I also have an additional IP address....I'm a complete newbie when it comes to this my domains are hosted with 1and1 any help would be appreciated...

You need to create a nameservers first in the WHM. Then register the nameservers with the IP.
