Wow...not being a U.S citizen sure has it's drawbacks...

I'm looking for a merchant account/gateway for a Canadian business.

I read up on Authorize.net, but they only take U.S accounts. I also heard of Linkpoint...

Those are the two I'm pretty much stuck with, as they're the only true gateways Lpanel is compatible with.

Also...how does everyone rate Worldpay? Does it work in the same fashion as 2Checkout, in which your client gets sent to their webpage? How's their customer support and customer areas? Easy enough to use? What kind of options do they have (recurring, partial refund, credit, plan upgrade without cancelling/recreating a subscription, etc...)

Thanks for the help :)

How much are your fee's, or are they NDA's?

Check out PSIgate.

If you use MB you get a nice discount and no setup fee also.

Few others but they don't come to mind right now.

You can use moneris for have a merchant account (visa mastercard and amex).
And use PSIgate as processor.
We do that since 5 yrs.

We have the same fee's since 5 yrs ($10/m for moneris and ~$55 for psigate), maybe they charge more now to new customers.

That's if I'd actually use Modernbill ;)

I like Lpanel's features. The only problem is, as gateways, they only have Linkpoint and Authorize.

In the meantime, I was looking at Worldpay once again, another 3pp) in order to dump 2checkout. Anyone have any experiences with them? My questions are in my first post.

I really wish Lpanel would get Psigate...I've requested it a few times already, and I'm sure I'm not the only Canadian using it.

Another reliable solution is InternetSecure

Do a search on the fora, there are several and it's discussed periodically.

Lpanel supports the Optimal Payments gateway. Optimal can acquire canadian merchants. The site lists FirePay as supported. FirePay and Optimal are the same thing. I doublechecked with their support and they told me that the link on lpanel's site is to the wrong website.

How did you get your merchant account, was it through moneris and/or psigate?

What are the rest of your fees? Discount rate and transaction fees? PSIGate's plans, which include both merchant account and gateway, are cheaper than what you are currently paying.

I got the merchant account from Moneris.
But their price to processing credit cards was too high... This is why we use psigate like cc processor.

Depending on how much volume are doing per month, you might be paying too much.

PSIGate is a good merchant account for Canadians.
