I just got the error message "Name Server Not Registered" in Godaddy's control panel when I tried to update the DNS server information for a domain name. Now I had just created the name server "ns1.domain.com". Could it be that Godaddy's system is slow in recognizing the new subdomain?
What other reasons are there for this sort of error and how can I register my DNS server?

Dunno what this could be. I had a similar problem a short while back. I tried setting the DNS of a domain that I have with directNIC but it wouldn't accept it. However, a domain that I have with Namecheap (enom reseller) took the name servers just fine. It's working now, but I don't have a clue what the problem was. I asked directNIC for help, and they seemed to have done something since it eventually worked.
Anyhow, you might want to try with a different registrar and see if it works. Then you'll at least have a hint at what's going on. Just a hint.

Sounds like you need to contact GoDaddy's technical support. Creating new nameservers is a function of your current Registrar - ie they can only be created by the Registrar where your domain is registered.

Hi there!
In the Godaddy control panel you first have to create the nameservers.
This can be done in the same window, you just have to click the button underneath the one to actually attribute the nameservers to the domain.
The difficulty is to finding the right button.
Once you have set the nameservers to the correct IP's ns1.xxxxx*********** and ns2.xxxxx*********** to 123.123.123.123 and 123.123.123.123 you should be able to make it work.
If you don't manage, just PM me.
