Hiya

I am turning 16 in about a week, and Im getting a car then.
Im gonna need a job to pay for it though...and I definately dont wanna be the mcdonalds french fry man

Im not really qualified for a job with webhosting, as I am pretty much a web designer/scripter and only have a mediocre knowledge of maintaining *nix servers...so Im pretty much hoping some Web Designer who needs help will see this =D

I live in Riverside, CA
if I would need to show up at an office I can commute as far as LA

=====

So, here are my qualifications and skills:
- Fluent in PHP/mySQL (I have done at least 14 complete sites using this combo)
- Good knowledge of ASP (though it cant come close to my php skills)
- Good Knowledge of Javascript/Java
- Good knowledge of VB 6.0/VbScript
- A+ Certified
- Much flash5 experience (tons of games/intros mades)
- Currently Teaching self C/C++
- Have been running a dedicated Team Fortress Classic server on TurboLinux for about 4 months now.
- Avid PC Gamer (Had to slip that in)

I honestly think this would be the wrong forum to be posting my resume in lol. It probably belongs over in the Sierra/Blizzard forums (2 game developers)...but anything is worth a shot =D

so what if he's A+ certified, that's a good job done by him, i wanted to get MCSE certified this year since i'm 16, but kinda short on the money, then my high school was going to be offering to cisco networking courses (networking 1 & 2 and the second course as networking 3 & 4) but those courses were dropped since not enough people signed up, but the point was after 3&4 i was prepared to take the CCNA test and get certified. there's nothing wrong with him being certified, i wish i was certified in something to show what i actually know, i can't really ask for a job here saying yea, i know this and that without a certification/good recommendation to prove it to people like you.

I take school at home and online, so you'd think they offer some cool networking or cisco or *nix classes, right? No...

Schools are so stupid...they plan on having like 14 design/management/hardware classes, but then drop them all because "no one signed up". WTF IS WITH THAT??

(My school was supposed to be offering microsoft and cisco networking classes...they completely dropped the idea because only 13 people signed up...)

i know what you mean, i was all hyped up ready to get certified next summer then pow, "sorry, those classes were dropped." that would have been the best way for me to get certified, because all i would have to do is pay for the actual test and not the pre-courses, but it never works out the way you want it to

That's happened to me a few times too, it sucked. All the cisco classes around me are at night, and I work nights, so it's a pain in the butt.

Oh and whoever didn't believe him about being A+ certified, I also was certified at 16. Although I was qualified since about 13 or 14 :D
