Avail 05-05-2002, 09:59 PM Check out the tutorials at http://www.devshed.com/ And then move on to the manual itself, at http://www.php.net/ smacx 05-05-2002, 10:12 PM Buy a book and sit down for 3 hours a day and you will know php inside out in probably a few months. This is for more benificial to you then crappy online tutorials. I use Instant PHP 4 which you can get at amazon.com goodness0001 05-05-2002, 10:24 PM I will also be appreciative of books. kunal 05-06-2002, 11:45 AM A couple of good sites/forums would be : http://www.zend.com http://www.evilwalrus.com http://www.phpbuilder.com http://www.devshed.com http://www.sitepointforums.com http://www.php.net hmm.. i dont really use books, i prefer the "crappy" online tutorials ;) You could take a look at "Proffessional PHP Programing" though. :) blacknight 05-06-2002, 02:27 PM I like mixing and matching. Online tutorials are great for some things, but a good 'old-fashioned' book can't be beaten when you need a reference. padders 05-06-2002, 06:26 PM Begin : Sitepoints book (if you have any web programming experience skip this step) Then : Professional PHP4 Programming from Wrox Then : PHP Developers Cookbook Then : Zend, phpbuilder etc ... nate 05-06-2002, 11:45 PM http://www.thickbook.com --> good stuff! |
