It seems someone was successfull in installing Centos and Blue Quartz on the old RaQ's, probaply somehow using the CD provided by Nuonce.net (http://www.nuonce.net/bluequartz.php). See http://www.osoffice.co.uk/strongbolt_server_appliances.html

They seem to be pretty new. Anyone ever heard of them, or even bought a server from them?

I am not sure why you woudl want to install the CentOS and BlueQuartz solution on a low powered raq when you can buy cheap 1 and 2U servers with a much higher spec and install on those! For example, there are 2 CPU servers in 2U cabinets on Ebay at the moment for wel under £100.00.

It would be difficult to set up CentOS and/or BQ on a Cobalt appliance, due to the custom hardware in them, no video, no CD drive, etc.
