View Full Version : RSS Feeds, how do i set one up?

Hi, ive noticed that RSS feeds optimise websites for SEO and for others to find. I run a forum and would like to know how i can setup an RSS feed system, ive looked it up breifly and some examples are a lilttle confusing. If somebody could point me in the right direcetion id greatlly appreciate this,

Basically, it's very easy.

It's an .xml file. Start with
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<rss version="2.0">

<channel>

Then add
<title>Ufopsi - your reference for UFOs and the paranormal.</title>
<description>Ufopsi is your online reference to understand ufology and parapsychology and their difficult relationships with science. You can browse, among many features, my articles or a collection of books and DVDs, discuss in the Community, browse the photos, chat or play games. Ufopsi provides what yopu need to learn all about UFOs and the paranormal.</description>
<language>en-us</language>
<managingEditor>webmaster@site.com</managingEditor>
<webMaster>webmaster@site.com</webMaster>
<docs>http://feedvalidator.org/docs/</docs>

Of course, change the relevant infos to match yours! You can repeat the item section up to 20 times, if I remember well. Gotta look at Atom RSS feeds though.
