View Full Version : Want to be a mod?

Well, we would start a thread about it if we were looking for anyone.

However, this thread is a warning.

There appears to be a new scam going around where someone will contact you on IM and offer you a position of moderator. Paid, of course.

They will then manipulate paypal information out of you (so they can pay you).

We would never contact you on IM in that regard.

If someone contacts you and offers you a paid moderators position, it ain't us.

Be careful out there, people.

Oh. You'll still get paid for that. You just won't get paid for bein' a mod.

Well I don't have to worry, I would never take a moderator job. Talk about a thankless job! I sure appreciate you guys and gals that are willing to be mods. Keep up the good work.:peace:

Please keep in mind that this was posted because of it happening on other forums. It hasn't happened here, to our knowledge. But, it appears it may be a new trend. So, if anyone IMs you and claims to offer you a paying moderator position on any forum, take heed.

Not currently. This was a warning about a scam being sent via PM on some forums.

If there's any moderating positions available here, there will be a posted announcement for it.

That just reeks of a scam. Why do some people give out passwords when there is obviously no need to?
