Hey, I'm doing some brief polls around a few sites as part of my research for an application to the Australian New Enterprise Incentive Scheme business initiative.
Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your input. the_pm 02-03-2006, 09:35 AM I don't know anything about the Australian New Enterprise Incentive Scheme business initiative, but from a developers standpoint, accessibility should be part of the baseline requirements of any site. It shouldn't cost more to have it or less to not have it. Accessibility is simply a standpoint from which good development takes place. AFAIC, if you're not intimately familiar with WCAG A-AAA and your country's accessibility legislation (sec. 508 for us), you're simply not equipped to handle professional development responsibilities. Australia was the first country to see a lawsuit filed and won over accessibility. The Sydney Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games paid a blind gentleman, Bruce Maguire, $20k for not making their site accessible to him, as ordered by the courts.
