Just want to share some experince i had with YAHOO

as you know yahoo started to sell domains. its a reseller of Melbourne IT. i dont understand at first look seems such a big company, some years number one search engine can not be registrar of directnic. big fault !

if you don't read after this, my note for those don't buy anything from yahoo or melbourne.

in about 1 weeks i bought 3 domain names. i select my domain names very carefully and thought yahoo was big company. registered through them. after 2 days

subject: Your Yahoo! Order

We recently received your order for a Yahoo! Premium Service.
Unfortunately, your order was rejected because we could not authenticate

Please do not respond to this email, as this is simply a notification.

and after days and days same mail continued, my 3 registered and paid domains become " Status ENDING DELETE RESTORABLE " . this means domain not paid and not renewed. registrar will delete it after 30 days. restorable option is 150$

send mail to yahoo, melbourne no reply. for example maybe a technical issue occured (why it does not occur with enom, register.com because of quality and price i understand later) yahoo why do you take my money and not paid it back ?
yahoo are u a trickster company ?

and also melbourne is a bad company their wrong to work yahoo and can not see what is happening there.

and the end if you dont want to be mistreated, do not buy domain or any other things after that customer care situation of yahoo and melbourne for your health. ( also send a complaint mail to internic if anybody want to report them http://reports.internic.net/cgi/registrars/problem-report.cgi )

Do NOT send Yahell any mails (they are simply ignoring them), use the online contact form. Worked for me couple of times, with reasonable results (not that I was happy about them).

I bought a domain from some kid who'd registered a cheap domain at Yahoo and then put it up for sale at TDNAM. It turned out to be registered at Melbourne IT. They wanted $20 from me just to update the registrant info (no extension period given) AFTER the domain had already been pushed to a new account opened for me, ie it was already in my account with them. I just transferred it away to my registrar for $6.95 including a 1 year extension. !@#$ them :)

Yahoo offers very inexpensive domain names however the additional "gotchas" all add up

I suppose some of what Yahoo does must work well for them to stay in business, but when there is a problem you're caught in automated-runaround-land. You can check with http://www.bbb.org for the contact information for Yahoo's Sunnyvale, CA office. If no one at Yahoo will help you, you can send a complaint to Santa Clara County District Attorney, Consumer Protection Unit, in San Jose. That will probably get Yahoo's attention, in which case they may call you and push the one or two buttons they could have pushed to solve your problem.
