You'll have to drawl your own conclusion like everyone else though. Becareful as most are biased not to add to the confusion, there are more bad reviews than there are good. Good Luck! ScottJ 02-01-2006, 10:25 PM Did you try a search in the reseller hosting section. There should be quite a few. Lpal-Patrick 02-01-2006, 10:37 PM I'm with them for two months now. Never had downtime yet. Support is great and i would recommend to anyone. net 02-01-2006, 11:22 PM Whatever provider it is, you will always receive 2 kinds of opinion. The only way to find out is to try them :-) writespeak 02-01-2006, 11:46 PM Moved to Reseller Hosting Forum. Lois Bryc3 02-02-2006, 12:32 AM Buy the advanced plans, don't go budget. tanfwc 02-02-2006, 01:22 AM Experience it yourself, come back next time and tell us how you feel about them. I have been with them for 6 months but i can said that I'm leaving soon this month too... writespeak 02-02-2006, 03:19 AM Buy the advanced plans, don't go budget. Bryc3, are you a client of Reseller Zoom? Lois MALdito 02-02-2006, 04:08 AM I'm also considering zoomreseller, but the limitation of resources has me thinking. Most of my clients run static pages, however, a couple of them use a DB, with CMS (Mambo/joomla mostly). I wonder if the limitations in the budget plans are too strict johny_gjx 02-02-2006, 01:20 PM I've been with them since April 2005. Resource limits are CPU Time Limits and Max Process Limits and Max Open Mysql Connecntions and they vary on different packages. Memory limits are removed from all packages recently. As for support I can say it has always been good, sth I often need is an uploaded full cpanel backup to be restored, some companies resotre their own system backups only, at least that has been how they've answered my presales question or for example Hostgator I remember stated that they'd charge for backup restoration, here at RZ you upload the full backup and ask for it to be restored or you can ask them for the system backup to be restored and they do it. I don't know if RZ is quite flexible on these things or maybe a few other ones act somehow rigid but these little points matter to me a lot. I've never had any problem with the their support department. I have a few websites there only, more similar to a designer who offers webhosting rather than a webhosting provider. I have two packages (Advanced and Budget) with RZ, though I use little resources. I can't post any link since I don't want anyone to find them here by google. No company would be able to make everyone happy but I can tell RZ is doing their job well, personally I'm satisfied with them. Bryc3 02-02-2006, 02:12 PM Bryc3, are you a client of Reseller Zoom? Lois I was in January :) cyberturk 02-02-2006, 02:16 PM their support team is very fast. i am with them about 3 months. I recommend advanced too. If you will resell and make a business with this, it is recommended to buy advanced. If there is not a hardware issue on server, you don't get any downtime because of unstability because resource limits protects the server. But hey are very hard to use on budget. koii 02-02-2006, 02:56 PM The memory limit which accounted for 95% of all 500 error resource issues was removed from all servers as johny_gjx noted. Thanks. tickedon 02-02-2006, 03:22 PM I was with ResellerZoom last year with two different accounts and left after they kept saying they were moving servers, didn't, never sent out an updated email and then I had to look in the forums to see it was in fact delayed (again). After a few rounds of that I eventually left, but, the service and support seemed ok. English however doesn't seem to be their native language - for the most part it was fine, but, there were a couple of times the language barrier got in the way. If you're looking for a cheap place to store a few of your own sites then they should fit the bill (thats all I wanted them for), but, if you are looking to host clients on there I would recommend looking elsewhere :) koii 02-02-2006, 03:34 PM I was with ResellerZoom last year with two different accounts and left after they kept saying they were moving servers, didn't, never sent out an updated email and then I had to look in the forums to see it was in fact delayed (again). We offer many types of reseller plans for every budget. We did postpone the migrations a few times only to ensure that it was done correctly with as much care as possible. If we rushed it would mean we were being careless with your data and that is unacceptable. Jeffreyw 02-02-2006, 11:37 PM The support has been very good with RZ. I got a reply in less than 5 minutes. But i have not experienced any hardware or technical issue yet. Hopefully there wouldnt be any. :) Aurelian 02-03-2006, 02:58 AM im going with RZ today, also keeping VarHosting account and Mkoh one. I'll be able to compare in the near future. r1285 02-04-2006, 11:04 AM hi guys, im a new customers on resellerzoom, would you give me some advice? im indonesian, sory for my bad english cyberturk 02-04-2006, 01:23 PM first of all take a look at their forum: http://forum.resellerzoom.com Shaw Networks 02-05-2006, 03:52 AM Your uptime with ResellerZoom will depend on what server you're placed on (i.e. what level of account you purchase). I've heard that the higher priced accounts generally receive better uptime. r1285 02-05-2006, 10:32 AM thanks, i order for B-1 package swflnetworks 02-05-2006, 10:42 AM thanks, i order for B-1 package Budget packages are recommended only for webdesigners. Advanced packages for hosting. It says on their site. So, please don't come back a week later saying I didn't warn you. :) Scout 02-09-2006, 02:03 AM Yep.. I think budget hosting are the ones that receive quite an amount of complains. Advanced might be better.. I plan to get one soon myself.. :) |
