I'm interested in Ubersmith, but the one thing they lack is an order form component. Actually they have one in their new version, but it doesn't link to any payment gateways (why I don't know, seems kinda silly). Anyway are there any Ubersmith users that have created an order form that will hook into Authnet as well as create accounts in Ubersmith? Or can you point me to a developer who can do this (hopefully inexpensively)? I really like the Vortech order from used with Modernbill, but wasn't too thrilled with Modernbill.

I wanted to do exactly the same thing. Unfortunately, this can't be done.
You cannot send data to Ubersmith to automatically setup an account. You must manually setup every new user. This may be changing with the new version and the integration with different control panels.
However, due to the recent increase in fraudulent orders, it may be preferable to manually enter the data into Ubersmith so that you can double check the orders. Currently, I have the contents of the order form emailed to my sales department. This information is then manually entered into Ubersmith and if the payment is to be made by credit card, I have the account setup to automatically bill the credit card when an invoice is generated.
So, everything is automated after the initial setup of a new client. This is actually an ideal solution for us as it allows us to double check all information first.
I hope this helps,

The best you can do is use thier "potential clients" form. Once they send in their information through that, you just click the "Add Client" button and it makes them an Ubersmith client. No automatic charging though, but that's always best so you can check them out first.
I was told by the developer today (Raj I think?) that you definitely can have an order form that interfaces with Ubersmith that can process a charge through Authorizenet and directly and automatically enter the client info as an active client (not a prospective client). I'm not really concerned about fraud as I won't be provisioning accounts automatically, just adding them to the database upon cc authorization. I was told this set up is in place already with some hosts using their API. I guess they have a new version out. They do have a sample order form you can use, but that one doesn't authorize the cc and places the client in the DB as a "prospective client". So I just need to find someon to build a nice order form for me! By the way, I really like what I see with ubersmith so far!

If you could find out from Raj what fields need to be sent to the Ubersmith system to set this up then creating the form and the processing script is a relatively simple task.
I am still surprised by this because, when I looked into it this was definitely not a possibility. It could be that this is a new feature that was implemented or a feature that is currently in the testing stage.
Please post any additional information that you learn here.
Thanks,

I'll call them tomorrow (monday) and let you know what I find out. Do they have any kind of presence on this forum? Aside from sponsoring it that is!

I am working on just this project now (trying to have orders go into ubersmith). We will then look at the orders and just finish up the sign up by creating an account on the server... (or at least that is my goal)
Any updates on the form?

hey, i just came across this thread and wanted to give a clarification/update on the whole thing. Since our latest version release ubersmith has had a fully functional api to interact with users' web site order forms.
It has the ability to:
add/create clients
add packages
add credit card information
retrieve plan/pricing info
send a welcome letter
generate and charge for an invoice
display an invoice
deactivate a package
deactivate a client
Of course, all of these can be incorporated into a single order form. The potential clients area is still there, but this is light years beyond that. We already have a few people up and running with order forms and several more in development.
Again, just to clarify, the api does have the ability to charge a client's card through the generate invoice function.
That's the current state of the api. As with the rest of the system 99% of our new features come from user suggestions, so let me know what else you're looking for.
ok, that's all.
