I have operated many forums, and targeted PPC ads(YPN or Adsense) have the highest CPM, put them after the first post and have an archive of all posts for SEs.

how much you can get depends how much traffic you get , what advertisers you're using , and how much advertisers want to pay :)

That would depend on your forum content. You can't just bung ads on any old forum and expect to make money. Perhaps if you tell us what your forum is about, we may be better able to advise you :)

AdSense works fine for me. Selling content and other products is good too. Affiliate sales come third.

google is the best. i try both YPN and google, but I get as twice paid as much from google.

i'm using clicksor but it do not pay well.

I don't personally use it, but I have a few friends who use AdSense and do "alright". Banner ad's might bring in some money...

I use adsense. Works ok. With small ammounts of traffic, I would go with PPC advertising. With larger, you may want to consider affiliate programs. Some web hosting affiliate programs pay as much as $100 per sale.

Well it depends there are several ways to make money online from forums - it all depends on how oyu look at it...you can do banner advertisement like several have already informed you of on this thread...in addition you can also create several google adsense powered sites and focus on search engine optimization....Forums are great because they allow you to add a signature line with your URL which can be considered as a back link thereofre increasing your search engine ranking and perhpas page rank.....this will bring more traffic to your website and you will generate revenue from the adsense codes...and any other product or service you offer.....the opporunity and potential through forums is unlimited.

To create a forum that could generate a strong demand from potential advertisers is the first thing to consider. Then you wont have to seek any methods at all, that would be an unbeatable method proper.

I am earning a small revenue from Adsense. I am still preparing advertising of my own through a banner rotation program. I have made the pricing list and will include the banners as soon as possible. The sites are growing steadily so, who knows, I might get more money from Adsense ... Not to mention I won't rick begin kicked out of the program since I would personally run the program :D
