Hi, was wondering if any of you have developed an interface using their api ..
I have looked at both php and perl examples sites they have ..
I have set em both up and it's all fine etc, except whenever I try to do any sort of test transactions on the test interface (NOT LIVE) I get problems with the server rejecting the ip ... even though I have added both my ip and the server's where the page site is hosted ..
enom takes days to respond to questions like these ... I was wondering if there was anyone out there who knew what is going on with their test interface..
I certainly hope the live interface isn't this much of a pain in the ass :(

Nope, it is much, much more of a pain in the ass! Whooo-hooo! :D
Not really... it is about as much of a pain in the ass... I think I had something that worked on the site for about 5 minutes, (ultimately installed by someone else), but tried to get it up myself long before that and was overly fustrated with the whole thing and enom's 'help'. Now I don't have anything, but can use regrocket.

I am using the provided sample sites (both the php and perl versions) for now to get a hang of it ...
There really isn't much one needs to edit to go live ... just put your resellerid/password in the correct file, change some file permissions and voila!
But voila it is not ... for some reason the test interface is screwy. First it wouldn't let me create any fake domains on it ... then they fixed it.... now it ignores the fact I have added all the IP's to the list and is complaining incorrect client ip ..
Man this is crazy and I really hope that you're kidding and the live platform doesn't suck like this :/
Else I don't know WHAT I am gonna do ... opensrs at $10 per domain just leaves no room for profit

Well, if you get it working in test mode, then swithcing it to live mode isn't all that much of a task (in theory). I'll have to go back and see if things are better than what I tried (as it was a long time ago).
They (Matt Stern) offered to help, I replied back about how great that was, and multiple emails later, they never replied. So they suck, I'm used to it, others disagree. Good for some things, bad for others...

Welp ..I just checked and all of a sudden the test interface is working perfectly both php and perl ...
Seems like they received my emails and explanations and fixed it .. however, I still don't like this ..
It leaves a sort of a bitter taste ... and I have no idea why it didn't work and what they fixed, nor whether this only affected the test platform or live as well ...
Wish opensrs was $9 instead of $10. It'd be affordable then and suit my business plan ... can't have it all I guess.

Hi papillon
How're things going? When your eNom API powered site goes live, please provide the URL and we'll all make sure the domain registration works well.
Good luck!
