I know there are alot of threads with this request, but mine is different...

I'm looking for a live support solution which allows me to 'start' chats to people browsing on my website, and also allows them start a live chat...

I have a budget of just $15/month - I recently signed up with 'Provide Support' and they're solution is great, but they tell me that it doesn't work with macs (i.e. it doesn't know when a mac user is on the website)... therefore I need a solution which will work with mac and windows.

I don't mind having a client for windows, because that is what we'll use to communicate with our clients, however I need it all to be able to work with Mac.

Does anyone already have one setup, which has been used with macs? - Anyone point me in the right direction.

Stardevelop Livechat is compatiable with Macs, and has a windows application for those with a PC. Alternatively you can use their web-interface. Unfortunately development on the program is slow but there isn't a monthly fee, just a setup charge.

We've got Stardevelop and Kayako LiveResponse (and funnily enough don't offer livechat currently). Stardevelop is an excellent product for the money but no where near as comprehensive as LiveResponse. However I believe even the leased license of LiveResponse is double your budget.

I recommend www.websitealive.com -- Great price, and VERY easy to use. It works with Macs as well :). Since your on a low budget,I would suggest catching them when there doing a promotion :).

I would suggest increasing your budget to get Kayako Live Responce. Or use PHP Live!

I have used PHP Live, and I found it was pretty easy to customize. It would certainly do what you need.
