My Hosting site loads fast, but my client's (also my officemate) site loads so slow. Me and my client use the same ISP. Our hosting site is also the same. We are on the same local area network.
The only difference is her domain is from Yahoo, and mine is from Godaddy.
Does Domain affects the loading of a site?
If you both have your sites on the same server, then probably the only difference is the content for each site. A simple text site would load much faster than one full of graphics, for example. I doubt if the registrar would make a big difference, but one registrar's dns servers might be more overloaded than another's. However, that might explain any delay before the pages start to load, but not any delay after they begin loading, afaik.

Yeah, our site are basically the same.
Anyway here is my site: www.correcthost.com
My friend/client site: www.webdevartisans.com
Well your site loaded in 8.746 seconds and your friend's site loaded in 4.412 seconds. So your site loaded slower than your friends.

correcthost.com seems slower from here too - which is due to the image use on the site IMO.

THEORETICALLY, this question has some reason though. Domain name does not have any influence to the loadingtimes, however, the DNS have. Or, to be more exact, DNS tld's. If your site is .com, it will load A LITTLE quicker if your DNSes are .com too. And so on: .net/.net, .org/.org etc. There's the reason behind this, but it's quite technical. It will suffice to say that the difference in timing we're speaking here is something like miliseconds at the best and really not worth mentioning.
Wouldn't it also be possible for one registrars dns servers to be more overloaded, or more hops, than another registrars dns servers?
