I've installed the navigation bar from google, and its saying WHT has only 8/10 PR rank...thats unbeleivable. I would think it would be 10/10

Places like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Microsoft, etc. are way bigger than WHT. 8/10 is still very good.

Yes, 8 is very good. Very few websites have 10. Here is a list of all of them. http://www.searchenginegenie.com/pagerank-10-sites.htm. Google has 3,830,000 backlinks. WOW.

But WHT's pagerank isn't 8, but 6. At least that is what it is showing for me.

webhostingtalk.com has a PR6, www.webhostingtalk.com has a PR8 ;)

They are two different domains, therefore counted separatly. However most sites do not have a PR over 8 (if you google you will notice WHT shows up fairly high).
