I'd like to "hear" opinions/experiences on using http://www.addr.com or lalaweb.com.

I never hear of lalaweb.com (the name kind of makes me wonder ;) ) .. but stay away from ADDR.COM .. before I was in the business, I hosted with them, and they are horrible, and some of my customers that came from them also have horror stories

Ive never heard of lala either?
Most of what Ive heard on ADDR.com
has been negative.
You might check at
http://www.hostsearch.com
and see if there is anything on customer reviews of the two companies.
Good Luck

I too was with addr.com and their service/support was not the greatest. I'd pass on them if I were you. I don't know the other. There are a lot of real good choices out there.

Thread cleaned. Many of the posts weren't appropriate (especially since this host is a member of our forums), and because I doubt the discussion would have helped AVHilliard much.

I think we need to redirect the conversation back to something more helpful.

Thank you.

Admin Note: Sneaky self-promotion of lalaweb.com removed. I've cant believe this BS. When are hosts gonna learn that they aren't gonna get away with it.

My two domains were hosted with ADDR.com LONG LONG ago. ADDR.com was OK if you do not require any kind of support. Their support was sooo slow. General E-mail response time was 48+ hours for very simple support. They kept billing after I cancelled my accounts. I had to call my bank.

Well...I don't know what to say. Chicken forwarded me the IP address for the individual who made the post regarding lalaweb, and it looks like somebody here did in fact make that post. Although I haven't gotten anyone to "confess" as of yet, please accept my sincerest apologies for causing any disruption to this forum. These types of forums are only effective if people remain honest about their experiences, and it's unfortunate there are people out there wanting to manipulate those results. Rest assured that I'm still investigating this matter, and it is not something I am taking lightly.

Kind Regards,

Penny Ortega

I was perusing through "The Thread" again looking for a host for another idea I have, and ran across http://www.lalaweb.com. Even though the packages don't match my needs for this particular project, it is one of the most attractive sites I've had the privilege of visiting. Penny, my compliments to your designer.

Thank you, Greg :-) I'll let my designer know - I know he'll be pleased with the compliment. You should check back in a couple of weeks. We'll be adding some flash and updating the site...but we're keeping the fish :-)

Kind Regards,

Penny Ortega

Unfortunately I have tons of experiences with lalaweb.com I stronly suggest NOT ... I said DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL!

Their customer support is terrible and they are constantly having "server" problems. They like to pass the blame on everyone or everything but themselves. My company has not only lost money (several hundred +), time but most importantly lalaweb.com has cost us several valuable customers and contracts.

Another good site to read more negative reviews about lalaweb.com is http://www.epinions.com/.

Again I strongly suggest that YOU NOT USE LALAWEB.COM.

James, I'm not saying they are bad/good (nor am I saying that you didn't have a negative experience with them), however that site has a total of one review. I like eopinions, however I can never get their site to load most of the time (which is annoying) and couldn't read that review (was it yours?).

Edit: I see they have four reviews there (the graphic said one, but there were more). Finally loaded...

I have to agree with other posters, we've had several customers come to us from addr.com and their comments were good :)
