Hi Guys. Im in need of your wisdom.
I currenly have a site, where i get quite a lot of emails from members. Myself and 2 more of us check the emails. Currently we just check them on server and reply.

The problem is, we often end up emailing same person 2wice, because we dont realise the other person has already emailed!!!

Is there any way of manging incoming emails, by allocating tickets or something. I tried email piping to ticket system, but if u reply to ticket, it doesnt send as email. We need to manually email, and post ticket to tell otehr person, that iv already emailed. (Soooooo long)

Iv seen a few options on the net, but they are for major companies...they are asking about $150/operator :crying:

Any good ones out there, and cheap:)

if you use the same incoming email address (i.e. only one), get a free copy of Cerberus ( http://www.cerberusweb.com ) ... You can't go wrong with Cerberus. :)

You can use IMAP instead of POP3, and then once someone replies, just flag the message in outlook express :) That's how my partner and I handle support emails that aren't through a ticket system.

That sounds simple enough. Mayby i shud try that, as its only two of us mainly doing the replying.

Thanks for the tip

Another vote for Cerberus. I'd much rather tickets than email (imap), as with Cerberus you can view a list of the users previous tickets (and emails) without having to do any searching - the information is there at your fingertips :)

Have to agree, a ticketing system is more practical.

Just my 2 cents, we use IMAP (like PE-Steve) and have the emails flagged so the other person knows that it was already taken care of.
