Can anyone recommend a U.S.-based host that offers a bulk reseller plan with CPanel? I'd like for the host to have the good WHT reputation that Splashhost has, but prefer to use a U.S. host in case any legal issues arise.

I've considered MCHost, but too many problems about them have been posted here lately, and too many users on one server to suit me.

Further, I'm looking for a host that has been around more than a year with a good reputation?

Suggestions appreciated. If you recommend a host, please tell me why.

MCHost is quite good actually.
They have a lot of users, so it looks that there are more complaints about them, but I think the majority of users will be quite happy with MCHost.

FYI, They offer a money back guarantee aswell, so why not try them ? :)

1- Do a search on every host suggested to you and read every post and message carefully.

You are not responsible for a single site but for several sites and you are going to host people's business website.

2- There is enough material to read here on WHt and you will need to spare 2-3 days here (3-4 hours a day).

3- After considering some hosts you must ask your specific questions from their sales office, read their forums (if any) and read their website , TOS and other websites related or containing opinions about their services.

4- Start with delay and do not go without enough info and correct decision.

Neither SplashHost or MCHost are US based, but I'd be interested to see what kind of legal issues you believe could arise? I can't imagine any as SplashHost are both honest and good.

While Splashhost is based in the UK, all of their servers are in the US, and therefore, are governed by US law.

I have been with Splashhost for only 2 weeks and I can honestly tell you that they are, hands down, the best reseller I have ever found. You absolutely cannot find a better host. Period.

I'm not so sure about legal matters for a British-based host being governed by US law. I think you may be incorrect. That doesn't really matter to me anymore as far as this discussion here goes. I had heard that Splashhost's servers are in US; but am curious as to where... Do they use Rackspace?

Anyhow, I'm glad you like them and thanks for letting me know how good they are. Wouldn't you know it, now that I've finally found a CPanel host, I think I've decided to go with one that offers Ensim's Webppliance... I like the better security it seems to offer.

I recently signed up with Splashhost and it appears that my server is with DTWebWorks. I'm not sure about the others, though. The only "problem" (and it isn't really a problem for me, more for Splashhost) is that yesterday my disk quota went from 200 MB to Unlimited disk space. :D I'm not complaining, but I still sent in a ticket so in case it was accidental.
