I have a good client who is hot to have a bulletin board. He is in love with threaded boards like WWWboard.

Is WWWboard resource intensive? Doesit gobble up CPU cycles or bandwidth producing those on-the-fly threaded results?

I can't have situation like Ikonboard, which is popular, but many hosts ban.

So does someone have an opinion on WWWboard or on another threaded board that is light on resources? In PHP would be good. This has to be something an intelligent non-techie can administer.

Well contrary to the dreams of most people forums never present much of an issue as , quite frankly, they never get used. We host a few Ikonboards, but usage is very low. If anyone comes to use with a known high resource forum, we'd point them at one of the 'safe' ones like OpenBB, VBulletin etc.

Phorum is a well liked threaded script so you might point them at that. WWW-board isn't one I've had a lot of experience with personally.

add in phpbb (http://www.phpbb.com) too. The board is good and is FREE!

agreed. Was thinking of that when I made the post but the name escaped me. (phpBB) :)

I thought phpBB was unthreaded.
