i dont understand this. When web hostee's say that they'll register a domain for like $20.00 , does this mean that you get the xxxxx.com you want or that they'll process a request and that u still have to pay internic fee's? when i mention internic fees i mean the $70/2yrs domain name option.
please give me feedback, thanks.

Your are right, just to add a note on it, the domain name registration was dominated by networksolutions.com once, with a fee of $70/2yrs, anyone who wish to register a domain name can use their registration system to register, instead of directly contacting the interNIC, which is an organisation that authorises the domain names.
The domain name registration market has somehow open up and registration providers started a price cutting war to gain market share.
As a customer, we gain on the lower price domain names.
P/S: majority of the low price domain name offers a one year domain name instead of two years, take note.
