I'd be curious to hear from anyone who's had lengthy dealings with JackPot Host. I'm not slamming the co, too new a customer to pass judgement (yet) but, we've submitted 4 support tickets over the last 4 days and haven't heard a peep from tech support or billing. Just tried sending email via their "support@" and got back a MDS response from their mailserv.
Anywho, looking for feedback/reccomendations/cautions from any members who've had (or are having) dealings with this hosting company.
^Thanks in advance.

Maybe they dont offer 24/7 support? Cant see a mention of it on their website...
... If you wait upto 24 hours you will probably get a response from them.

That's entirely possible. First two support tickets were submitted last Friday, one over the weekend and the last this morning. Being a "new" account means I'm in the process of shifting accounts from one of our other servers and I'm more than a bit ancy about moving clients en-masse to JackPot until I get some confirmation from them on our open support tickets.
It's probably just me with the jitters as I've always dreaded those "migration" chores associated with moving client sites from server to server...
Thanks for the response,

For reseller hosting, I would think it quite important to have some type of support during weekends, but I guess it's more the customer's responsability to look into this prior to buying rather than an obligation for providers to offer it. :)

As said above maybe due to the weekend. Give it a few more days.
It is listed for sale here (http://www.afternic.com/name.php?domain=jackpothost.com&ref_id=31680) information from whois.sc. They also have banners on there site :eek3:
Hope this is the right site you are talking of

Ouch, a downstream reseller's nightmare... Yeah, I'm afraid it's the same host, should've done my homework -before- I committed. Pity as I'm impressed with the server features and accessibility. Our service tickets were -non-stability- related (simple ip changes and propogation requests). The owner will probably follow up on the referrer pings from this thread before I get a response from cust. serv.
Thanks for the heads up folks.

I received an email from JackPotHost early this morning. They state the domain is not for sale and requested I post a link to my reference. I did (along with cc's of our previous support tickets) and am awaiting response from their rep.
`Spose I'll wait and see.. Thanks to all who've responded. I feel a bit humbled in my "hasty approach" to jumping on another hosting account without doing my fair share of research before hand and am feeling every bit like I just fell off the turnip truck.
